Learning Together, Growing Together
Since 2024, the collaboration has reached an important milestone.
More than 1,500 teachers across Kenya have participated in the programme, joining over 30 interactive Zoom sessions designed to inspire learning and collaboration. These sessions brought together guest speakers and experts in interreligious and intercultural dialogue, environmental sustainability, peacebuilding, and community engagement.
But beyond the numbers, the real impact lies in the connections formed and the confidence gained.
Teachers shared experiences, explored challenges together, and discovered new ways to engage with their students, communities, and faith leaders. Each session created a space for dialogue, reflection, and practical learning — helping participants see how dialogue can become a tool for meaningful change.
What started as a national initiative in Kenya is now expanding across borders.
Today, participants are joining from other countries across Africa, strengthening the diversity of voices and experiences within the programme. At the same time, partnerships with institutions such as the Interreligious Council of Kenya and local faith communities continue to deepen, creating stronger foundations for sustainable collaboration.
With each new cohort, the impact grows wider and stronger.
Concerning test-taking, learners can submit course assignments through the LMS, participate in a discussion, or submit other tasks.
Perhaps the most inspiring part of this journey is what happens after the training ends.
Teachers return to their schools and communities equipped with new skills and renewed confidence. Many begin implementing small-scale dialogue and community-based activities, creating safe spaces for conversation, cooperation, and understanding.
These actions — sometimes simple, sometimes ambitious — are where real change begins.
And as each teacher shares what they have learned, the impact multiplies, reaching students, families, and communities far beyond the virtual classroom.
The collaboration between KAICIID, the Eco-Changers Initiative, and local partners continues to grow stronger each year. What began with one inspired educator has evolved into a shared movement for dialogue, education, and sustainable peace.
And this is only the beginning.
As more teachers join, more partnerships form, and more communities engage, the vision that started in 2024 continues to expand — creating ripples of learning, dialogue, and change across Africa.
